# Cancel or Pause Your Subscription

> Find your subscription, understand its end date, review any alternative offer and check what happens to existing invoices.

Use the customer account of the **business that supplies your subscription**. Start with its order, invoice or account link and sign in using the purchase email address.

## Find your subscription

Open **My services** or the subscription section available in the business's portal, then select the subscription. Check its name, amount, billing interval and next billing date.

A payment-page account area may only show a read-only subscription overview. If no management action is shown, ask the business for its portal link or contact it directly. Features also depend on the service and your account permissions.

## Choose the action you need

| Action | What it means |
| - | - |
| **Pause** | Temporarily change the subscription to paused where supported. Confirm with the business what this means for service access and future billing. |
| **Resume** | Continue an eligible paused subscription. Check its updated status and billing dates. |
| **Cancel** | End the subscription immediately or submit a cancellation request, depending on the business's settings and agreed terms. |

Removing a payment method does **not** cancel the subscription. Pausing or canceling also does not automatically erase existing invoices, reverse payments or issue a refund.

## Request cancellation

**1. Open the subscription**

Confirm you selected the correct service. Choose **Cancel Subscription** when the action is available.

**2. Read the confirmation**

Some subscriptions cancel immediately. Others ask for a reason and create a request with a notice period. Review the calculated end date before confirming.

**3. Keep the result**

Check the subscription's cancellation status, effective date and related support request. Save any confirmation email and follow up with the business if the result is unclear.

A requested cancellation can leave your subscription active until its effective date. It does not necessarily stop billing on the date you submit the request. Ask the business to explain existing invoices and any amount due before the final end date.

## Understand the end date

The business may configure notice in **days** or **calendar months**. One calendar month is not always 30 days: October 15 plus one month is November 15; a month-end date uses the last available day when necessary.

The next billing date or an explicit minimum contract end can set a later lower bound. Use the actual date displayed for your subscription and ask the business if it differs from your agreement. Do not infer it only from a generic notice-period description.

## If the business offers an alternative

An eligible cancellation request may contain a proposal to end earlier, apply a temporary discount or move to a compatible cheaper subscription.

1. Open the related support request in your portal.
2. Read the complete offer: dates, price, currency, VAT, duration and what happens afterwards.
3. Accept only if you agree to those terms. Acceptance requires the agreement confirmation; only the primary customer or an enabled customer administrator can accept or decline the proposal.

For a temporary discount, check when the regular price returns. For a switch, check which product changes and when its new price begins. For an early end, agree on service access and any data export with the business.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Ignoring, declining or letting an offer expire preserves the original cancellation. An offer is not accepted merely because the business publishes it. Accepting a discount or compatible product switch withdraws the pending cancellation according to the offer terms.

These proposals do not automatically refund paid invoices or migrate external services. If you already agreed to stop sooner directly with the business, it can confirm an earlier end and send a confirmation; review that date and any separate invoice handling.

## Change your mind

Where **Withdraw Cancellation** is offered, read its confirmation before using it. If the option is absent, contact the business. Resuming a paused subscription and withdrawing a cancellation are different actions; a canceled subscription cannot simply be resumed as though it were paused.

## Why a button might be missing

The service may not support the action, the business may not enable it, or your contact role may have limited access. Provider-managed subscriptions and services with external provisioning can have additional restrictions.

For example, VPNresellers subscriptions do not support customer pausing. Cancellation retains already-paid VPN access until its paid end; it does not grant access for an unpaid renewal.

Contact the business through **Support** or its published contact details. Include the subscription reference, requested change and any date you need clarified.
