# AI Prompts

Turn a prompt you've engineered into a product. **AI Prompts** let you sell the exact wording you use with ChatGPT, Midjourney, Claude, Stable Diffusion, Suno, and other AI tools — customers see a short teaser you write yourself, then pay to instantly unlock the full prompt text.

## Creating an AI Prompt Product

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start a New Product">
    Navigate to **Products** and click **New Product**. Select **AI Prompt** as the product type.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the Target AI Model">
    Pick the AI tool your prompt is written for from the dropdown, grouped by what it produces: **Text** (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini), **Image** (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, DALL·E, Flux), **Audio/Music** (Suno, Udio), or **Video** (Runway, Pika, Sora). This shows customers which tool to paste your prompt into.

  <Step title="Pick a Category">
    Choose the category that best describes what the prompt helps someone accomplish — for example **Marketing & Sales**, **Image & Design**, or **Coding & Automation**. This is used to organize and filter AI Prompt listings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write Your Teaser">
    Write a short (up to 280 characters) description of what the prompt does — enough to sell it without giving away the exact wording. For example: "Turns any product photo into a studio-lit ad shot — works with GPT-4o and Nano Banana." This is required, and it's the only thing customers see before they pay.

  <Step title="Paste the Full Prompt">
    Paste the exact prompt text customers will receive after payment. This is stored privately and never shown to anyone who hasn't paid.

  <Step title="Set Your Price and Save">
    Enter your price and save. The product is ready to sell immediately from your shop, your PayRequest Page, or a Smart Link.

<Tip>
  Write your teaser like ad copy, not like a summary. Describe the *outcome* the prompt produces ("turns rough notes into a polished LinkedIn post") rather than hinting at *how* it's structured — that's the part you're selling.

<Warning>
  PayRequest never auto-generates a preview from your actual prompt text, not even a partial or masked one. If you leave the teaser blank, customers won't see anything convincing to buy — always write it yourself.

## What Buyers Experience

1. **Browsing** — customers see your teaser and the target AI model badge on the product page, so they know what they're buying and what tool to use it with
2. **Payment** — checkout works exactly like any other PayRequest product, through Mollie or your other connected payment providers
3. **Instant reveal** — right after payment, the full prompt appears on the confirmation page in a copy-friendly box with a **Copy Prompt** button
4. **Email delivery** — the same prompt is also emailed as a `.txt` file, so customers always have a backup copy
5. **Customer portal** — customers can come back to their order history at any time and copy the prompt again, in case they lose the email

## Listing on the Marketplace

Every AI Prompt product can optionally be listed on the [PayRequest Marketplace](https://payrequest.me/marketplace) — a public storefront where anyone can discover and buy products from PayRequest sellers, separate from your own shop.

    Enable the **List on Marketplace** toggle.

    Pick a category from the **AI Prompts** group in the searchable category picker: Marketing & Sales, Content & Social Media, Business & Productivity, Ecommerce, Coding & Automation, Image & Design, Video & Animation, Writing & Research, Education & Career, or Audio & Music.

  The category you pick here is the public **Marketplace category** used for browsing and search on payrequest.me/marketplace. It's a separate setting from the category you chose earlier on the product itself, which only affects how your own listing is organized.

## FAQ

  <Accordion title="Can I sell a prompt without writing a teaser?">
    No. The teaser is required — it's the only thing customers see before paying, and PayRequest deliberately never generates one from your real prompt text, even a partial or masked version, since that would give away the value you're selling.

  <Accordion title="What happens if I edit the prompt text after someone already bought it?">
    Past buyers keep access to whatever version they paid for through their order history and the email they received. Editing the product updates what future buyers get.

  <Accordion title="Can I sell prompts for tools that aren't in the dropdown?">
    Yes — each media type (Text, Image, Audio/Music, Video) includes an "Other" option for tools not listed by name.

  <Accordion title="Does listing on the marketplace cost extra?">
    No. Marketplace listing uses the same pricing and fees as selling directly from your own shop or PayRequest Page.

    No. Each AI Prompt is a single prompt sold as one item, so the custom fields step and quantity selection are skipped automatically.
