Before you pay

Open the link supplied by the business. It may use payrequest.me, a PayRequest shop address or the business’s own domain. Check the business name, what the request is for, the amount and currency, and any tax or other amounts shown in the final total. If these do not match your agreement, contact the business before continuing.
A normal payment collects money. A security-deposit authorization reserves an amount that the business can charge or release later. If the page describes an authorization hold, follow the security-deposit guide.

Complete the payment

1

Review the request

Check the product, invoice or description. Some payment pages let you enter an amount; an invoice or fixed-price request may already set it.
2

Enter your details

Use the email address you want the business to associate with this purchase. Complete any details the checkout requests.
3

Choose an available payment method

The methods shown depend on the business, currency and payment type. You may be redirected to a payment provider, wallet or banking app for approval.
4

Return and check the result

Follow the return link after approval. Keep the confirmation or reference. Some methods need additional processing before the business receives a confirmed result.

If the result is pending or unclear

A bank approval screen, a pending card entry or a closed browser window is not enough to determine whether the business received a completed payment.
  1. Open the original invoice, order or confirmation link to check its status.
  2. Check the email address used at checkout, including its spam folder. Available confirmation emails depend on the payment flow and the business’s configuration.
  3. If the page says pending or processing, or your bank already shows an entry, ask the business to check the existing payment before trying again.
If the page reports a clear failure, follow its instructions. If your bank shows a transaction despite that message, ask the business to verify it first.
Do not make another payment just because a receipt has not arrived. Share the existing reference with the business so it can check the result.
For a bank entry that does not match an invoice’s status, follow I paid, but my invoice is still open. It covers bank transfers and I have paid confirmations as well as provider processing.

Find your invoice, purchase or subscription

Where the business offers a shop portal, sign in with the email address used for the purchase. Invoices, Orders and My services show the records available to your account. A payment-page account area has fewer features; use the invoice link if no invoice list is shown. See Your customer account for sign-in help.

Refunds or an incorrect amount

Contact the business that collected the payment. If Request a refund is available on a paid invoice, it submits a request for the business to review; it does not issue an immediate refund. For an unused card reservation, ask about releasing the deposit instead. A release and a refund are different actions. Get help with a payment
