Customers can choose Apple Pay and Klarna on your PayRequest Page and payment links when these methods are available through your connected Mollie account. You keep using your existing Page and links.
You need your own approved, payment-ready Mollie account. A PayRequest plan or a buyer’s ability to use Apple Pay does not establish payment-provider eligibility for your business country.

Enable the methods

1

Connect your Mollie account

Complete payment-provider setup and confirm that the connection is ready to receive payments.
2

Enable the methods in Mollie

Open the Mollie website profile connected to PayRequest. Enable cards and Apple Pay to offer Apple Pay. Enable Klarna if Mollie makes it available to your business.Complete any additional approval or verification requested by Mollie.
3

Check your PayRequest method selection

Open Provider Settings. If you have selected a custom list of Mollie payment methods, include Apple Pay and Klarna in that list.
4

Review your public Page

Open your normal public Page or payment link. Check Apple Pay in a supported browser and select Klarna to review the billing fields. Viewing a method or filling its fields does not confirm a successful payment.

Apple Pay

Apple Pay is shown when your Mollie profile offers it and the customer’s browser supports it. Supported desktop browsers can also offer Apple Pay; it is not limited to the payment page being opened on an iPhone. The customer selects Apple Pay and continues to Mollie’s secure checkout to authorize the payment. The available authorization options depend on the customer’s browser, device and Apple Pay setup.
If Apple Pay appears on one device but not another, check the second device’s browser and Apple Pay availability. A missing option on one browser does not by itself mean your Mollie connection has failed.

Klarna

The payment option is labelled Klarna and displays the Klarna logo. Selecting it opens fields for:
  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Street and house number
  • Postal code, city and country
The buyer completes these details and continues to Mollie/Klarna to review the available payment options. These billing fields are required for Klarna; they do not block payment with another selected method. Klarna decides which options to offer and whether to approve each payment. Availability depends on factors such as the customer, country, currency and amount. Enabling Klarna does not guarantee a pay-later offer or payment approval, and it does not set up automatic recurring collection.

If a method is missing or a payment fails

If the buyer has already been charged or the payment is pending, check the payment status before asking them to pay again. See payment failures.

If you use Stripe instead

This setup guide describes the Mollie flow. Stripe has its own method, browser and payment-domain requirements. Apple Pay appearing through Mollie does not confirm it is configured on a separate Stripe connection. See connecting Stripe.

Fees and help

Your PayRequest plan and payment-provider processing fees are separate. Review your plan and Mollie agreement for the fees that apply. For help, send your Page URL, the payment method, browser/device, error message and time of the attempt to PayRequest support. Do not send card details, passwords or API keys.
