In the PayRequest dashboard, go to PayRequest Page and open the Settings tab.
2

Find the Showcase section and turn on List me on the Showcase.
3

Select the category that best represents your work. This helps visitors find relevant profiles and services.
4

Add your profession, location, skills, languages, hourly rate, and current availability.
5

Enable Accept quote requests, Hire me, or both, then click Save Settings.

Profile Details

The freelancer fields make your page easier to understand and easier to find on the public directory at payrequest.me/discover. Your availability is also shown as a colored status badge on your avatar. Visitors can hover over the avatar to quickly see your professional details.
Use specific skills that clients would search for. “A4 pencil portrait from a photo” is more useful than “art.”

Get Discovered

When List me on the Showcase is enabled, your page can appear in the public PayRequest directory. Visitors can search and filter freelancers by details such as category, skills, hourly rate, and availability. Keep these details current:
  • Set your availability to Available for work when you can accept new projects
  • Use a recognizable profile photo or logo
  • Add a banner that shows your style, portfolio, or best work
  • Write a short tagline that says what you deliver and for whom
  • Add focused skills instead of a long list of unrelated terms
See PayRequest Page Styling to customize your avatar, profile banner, tagline, description, colors, and social links.

Accept Quote Requests

Enable Accept quote requests when the price depends on the client’s requirements. The Request a quote button opens a form directly on your public profile. The visitor enters their name, email address, request, and project details without being sent to a separate directory page. After submission, they return to your profile and see a confirmation. PayRequest creates a customer and an open quote request for your business, then sends you a notification. You can review the request, discuss the scope, and prepare the final quote. Use quote requests for work such as:
  • A custom website or software integration
  • An illustration with several people or complex usage rights
  • Consulting where the required research is not yet clear
  • A photo-based portrait with custom size, materials, framing, or delivery
A quote request does not charge the client. It starts a conversation so you can agree on scope and price first.

Enable Hire Me

Use Hire me when you are comfortable selling your time at a clear hourly rate.
  1. Enter your Hourly rate
  2. Turn on Enable Hire me
  3. Set the minimum and maximum number of hours a client can buy
  4. Save your settings
On your public profile, the client clicks Hire me, chooses the number of hours, describes the work, and continues directly to payment. The total is calculated from your hourly rate and the selected number of hours.
You do not need to create or choose a product. PayRequest automatically manages the internal checkout product behind the Hire me button and keeps it out of your normal product list.
The purchase is a prepaid block of time. Contact the client after payment to confirm the scope, schedule, and expected outcome. If the work requires more time, the client can purchase another block or request a quote.

Quote, Hire Me, or Commission?

Choose the simplest option that fits the work: For example, an A4 pencil drawing based on one supplied photo can be a Commission if the offer is repeatable and has a predictable starting price. Use a quote request when the number of people, background, dimensions, rights, materials, or delivery requirements can change the price substantially. For most freelancers, start with:
  1. A complete profile with a clear profession, skills, and availability
  2. Accept quote requests enabled for custom work
  3. Hire me enabled only if you have a confident hourly rate
  4. One or two commission products only for services you can describe and price consistently
This gives clients a fast next step without requiring you to build a large product catalog first.
