Lock $PAYR for Free Premium

Instead of paying for PayRequest Premium with a card or bank transfer, you can lock $PAYR tokens in a non-cancelable, time-locked vault on Solana. As long as the lock stays in place, your account keeps free Premium access — no recurring card charge, no subscription to manage.
This uses Streamflow, an established on-chain token vesting/locking protocol on Solana. PayRequest never takes custody of your $PAYR — the tokens stay in a Streamflow-controlled vault that only unlocks back to your own wallet after the lock period ends.

Requirements

RequirementValue
Minimum lock amount100 $PAYR
Minimum lock duration90 days
NetworkSolana
WalletAny Solana wallet holding $PAYR (e.g. Phantom, Solflare)
Once locked, your $PAYR cannot be cancelled or withdrawn early — the lock is created as non-cancelable by both sender and recipient. Only lock an amount and duration you’re comfortable committing to.

How It Works

1

Go to the Lock page

Visit /token and connect a Solana wallet holding $PAYR. You’ll need to be logged in to your PayRequest account.
2

Choose your amount and duration

Enter how much $PAYR to lock (minimum 100) and for how long (minimum 90 days). PayRequest builds an unsigned lock transaction for you to review.
3

Sign the transaction

Approve the transaction in your wallet. This creates a Streamflow lock stream — your tokens move into the on-chain vault at this point.
4

PayRequest verifies the lock on-chain

PayRequest checks the lock directly on Solana: correct token, correct amount, correct duration, and confirms it’s genuinely non-cancelable. Premium is only activated once all of these checks pass.
5

Premium is activated

Your account gets a free, active Premium subscription (shown as “Premium (locked $PAYR)” in your subscription list) for as long as the lock remains active.

What Happens When the Lock Ends

PayRequest continuously monitors active locks. When your lock’s unlock date arrives:
  • The lock status changes to expired
  • Your Premium subscription is automatically cancelled (unless you have another active lock covering it)
  • Your $PAYR becomes claimable back to your wallet through Streamflow directly
If you want to keep Premium after your lock ends, create a new lock before the current one expires, or switch to a regular paid Premium subscription.

Verification & Security

Every lock goes through strict on-chain verification before Premium is granted:
  • Correct token — must be the $PAYR mint, not a different token
  • Correct amount — must meet the 100 $PAYR minimum
  • Correct duration — must be locked for at least 90 days from creation
  • Genuinely non-cancelable — both sender and recipient cancellation must be disabled on-chain
If a lock transaction is submitted but never confirms on-chain within 30 minutes, it’s automatically marked invalid and no Premium is granted.
Early withdrawal is treated as a security anomaly and should not be possible given the lock is created as non-cancelable — but if PayRequest ever detects tokens were withdrawn before the agreed unlock date, Premium access is revoked immediately.

FAQ

Yes, standard Solana network fees apply when you sign the lock transaction — these are minimal (typically a fraction of a cent).
No. The lock is a Streamflow on-chain vault, not a PayRequest-controlled wallet. PayRequest only reads the lock’s public on-chain state to decide whether to grant Premium — it never has the ability to move, cancel, or claim your tokens.
Yes. Multiple active locks can be linked to the same Premium subscription, and Premium stays active as long as at least one lock is still active.
The lock and its unlock date are recorded on-chain independently of PayRequest. You’d need your wallet to eventually claim the tokens back from Streamflow when the lock expires — this is the same as any other Solana wallet/token custody situation.
Yes — the same $PAYR token used in PayRequest’s Solana pump.fun integration.
