Shop Setup

Your PayRequest shop is a full storefront at payrequest.app/shop/{yourshop} where customers can browse multiple products, add them to a cart, and check out in one go β€” separate from single-product PayRequest Pages. Setup happens in one place: Shop in your dashboard sidebar.
Every account can have one shop. Once created, the same page is used to edit settings β€” there’s no separate β€œshop settings” screen.

How It Works

1

Choose a shop name

Navigate to Shop and pick a name. It’s automatically lowercased and can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens β€” this becomes your URL: payrequest.app/shop/your-name. Names must be unique across all PayRequest shops.
2

Add a description and default language

Set a shop description and pick a default language (English, Dutch, French, or Spanish).
3

Go live

New shops are created offline by default. Flip the Shop Status toggle to make it publicly visible and start accepting orders.
4

Configure branding

In the Branding tab, upload a logo and set a portal accent color (hex code) that’s used across your shop and customer portal.
5

Set up a custom domain (optional)

In the Custom Domain tab, point your own domain at the shop. See Custom Domains for DNS steps.
6

Review shop settings and legal pages

Configure tax display, signup, and invoicing behavior in Shop Settings, and add Terms & Privacy content in Legal Pages if you want to publish your own policies.

Shop Settings Reference

Tax display, accent color, and logo also affect the customer portal (order history, invoices, subscriptions) since it shares the same shop branding.
The Legal Pages tab lets you paste in your own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy content, stored per-shop and shown to customers at checkout. Leaving these empty is fine β€” PayRequest doesn’t require them to operate the shop, but publishing your own is good practice, especially alongside GDPR Compliance considerations. Once your shop is live, these are configured separately:
  • Vacation Mode β€” pause new orders temporarily. See Vacation Mode.
  • Spam Protection β€” block bots and unwanted countries at checkout. See Spam Protection.
  • Product Display β€” carousel vs. grid layout for your product catalog. See Product Display Layout.

FAQ

Yes, from the same Shop page β€” just note the URL changes with it, so update any shared links.
No, each PayRequest account has a single shop tied to your user ID. Single-product PayRequest Pages are a separate, unlimited alternative if you need multiple standalone checkout pages.
Existing orders, invoices, and subscriptions are unaffected β€” offline only blocks new visitors from reaching the storefront and starting a new checkout.
No. It only hides the option for new customers to register; customers who already have portal accounts can still log in.
