Email Configuration

PayRequest sends two kinds of email: automated notifications to you about events in your business, and transactional emails to your customers (invoices, receipts, reminders, etc.). This page covers how to control what you receive and how customer replies reach you β€” see the linked pages below for customer-facing email content and delivery troubleshooting.
Manage your own notification preferences under Settings > Notifications (/settings?tab=notifications).

Notification Settings

Choose which business events send you an email, grouped by category:
1

Go to Settings > Notifications

Open Settings and select the Notifications tab.
2

Toggle notifications on or off

Each notification type has its own switch. Most are enabled by default; the daily business summary is off by default.
3

Changes save instantly

Each toggle saves immediately β€” there’s no separate save button.
Notifications are sent to your account’s login email address. Event-based notifications (payment received, new order, new subscription, etc.) are sent as soon as the event happens. The Daily Business Summary is sent at 08:00 (Europe/Amsterdam), and the Monthly Subscription Report is sent at 08:00 on the 1st of each month.

Receiving Customer Replies (Email-to-Ticket)

Every email PayRequest sends to your customers β€” invoices, reminders, order confirmations, and more β€” includes a Reply-To address unique to your business. When a customer replies, it’s automatically converted into a support ticket in your dashboard.
This requires no setup β€” your Reply-To address is generated automatically from your shop name or PayRequest Page handle (e.g. yourshop@payreque.st). Full details, including how ticket matching and two-way email conversations work, are covered in Support Requests.

Customizing Customer-Facing Emails

The content and subject line of transactional emails (invoices, reminders, subscription notices, etc.) are customized separately from notification preferences. See Email Templates to edit the wording customers see.
There’s currently no setting to change the sending domain or use your own SMTP relay β€” all business emails are sent through PayRequest’s own email infrastructure.

FAQ

Not currently β€” notifications go to your account’s login email address.
Notification settings are configured at the account level, not per team member.
Check Email Delivery Issues for common causes β€” spam filtering is the most frequent one.
There’s no single master switch β€” toggle off each notification type individually under Settings > Notifications.
